It was produced in 1955, and the script is based on a story by Ward Greene, about a dog called free and carefree "Whistling Dan". An aristocrat (referred to in the film as Honey) won for her husband, Jim (Jim Darling referred to as) a dog breed English er spaniel, who gives the name of Lady. Lady grows into a dog with pedigree and right to a license, something that his best friends and neighbors, dogs Joca and Kermit. Joca loves burying bones in your garden and has finally Caco that Lady, who used to hunt with his grandfather Caco Velho, lost the scent. Tramp is a dog on the street, without regard to race with his cunning and his friends (such as two Italians) to live. Darling expects a baby, and when the boy was born the attention of the ones he went, until Lady knows the baby and so gets back its treatment, loving baby. Once Jim and his wife travel, leaving Aunt Sarah taking care of the baby. Aunt Sarah thinks Lady wants to attack the baby and leaves the room, with his mischievous Siamese cats, Si & Am Cats break everything and still blame Lady! Aunt Sarah will take her to put a muzzle! But by the time Lady runs away and will depend on Rover to help her back to Dear and Darling. Although the film is partly based on a story called Happy, The Whistling Dog, Lady and the Tramp is considered the first original animated feature film studio Disney. The look of the Tramp was inspired by a mongrel dog that Disney artists saved the wagon. The film is told entirely from the viewpoint of a dog and for that reason the faces of humans are rarely shown, and in most cases all that is seen are his feet. Scamp (Scamp), the son of Lady and Tramp, would become quite popular in the Disney comic books starring their own stories. Despite some negative reviews, the film was a box office hit when released in 1955, becoming one of the most popular animated films with the public. Uma aristocrata (referida no filme como Querida) ganha de seu esposo, Jim (referido como Jim Querido) uma cadelinha de raça er spaniel inglês, a quem dá o nome de Lady. Lady cresce e vira uma cadela com pedigree e direito a uma licença, algo que seus melhores amigos e vizinhos, os cães Joca e Caco. Joca adora enterrar ossos em seu jardim e conta finalmente a Lady que Caco, que costumava caçar com seu avô Caco Velho,perdeu o faro. Vagabundo é um cachorro de rua, sem raça que conta com sua astúcia e seus amigos (como dois italianos) para viver. Querida espera um bebê, e quando o menino nasceu as atenções dos queridos foram para ele, até que Lady conhece o bebê e assim recebe de volta seu tratamento, amando o bebê. Uma vez Jim e sua esposa viajam, deixando Tia Sarah tomando conta do bebê. Tia Sarah acha que Lady quer atacar o bebê e a deixa na sala ,com seus arteiros gatos siameses, Si & Am. Os gatos quebram tudo e ainda culpam Lady! Tia Sarah vai levá-la para colocar uma focinheira! Mas na hora Lady foge e vai depender de Vagabundo para ajudá-la a voltar para Querido e Querida. Apesar de o filme ser baseado em parte em uma história chamada Happy, The Whistling Dog, A dama e o vagabundo é considerado o primeiro longa-metragem animado original do estúdio Disney. O visual do Vagabundo foi inspirado em uma cadela vira-lata que os artistas da Disney salvaram da carrocinha. O filme é contado totalmente do ponto de vista de um cachorro e por essa razão os rostos dos humanos são raramente mostrados, sendo que na maioria das vezes tudo o que é visto são os seus pés. Banzé (Scamp), o filho de Lady e Vagabundo, viria a se tornar bastante popular nos quadrinhos Disney, estrelando suas próprias histórias. Apesar de algumas críticas negativas, o filme foi um grande sucesso de bilheteria quando lançado em 1955, tornando-se um dos filmes de animação mais populares com o público. Tia Sarah é interpretada pelo desenhista Frank Thomas. Atualmente, tia Sarah aparecia na maioria das cenas do filme.
